Hi, I'm Kaitlyn!
I am a Wilmington, North Carolina based photographer specializing in families, couples, events and so much more! I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri and spent four years at Indiana University studying Sport Communications and working for the Football Team as a creative content videographer. After college I spent a summer in southern California working as a marketing intern for a minor league baseball team, but quickly realized I wanted to be closer to family. In September 2016 I moved across the country to Wilmington, North Carolina and have called it home since! I work full time doing marketing and photography for a local, family-owned furniture and home decor business, but in my spare time I am here to capture your special moments, or help with business branding and marketing through quality photography! When I'm not working or photographing, I love traveling, running, biking, paddle boarding, going to breweries and spending time at the beach or on the boat with my friends and family.
HOw I got started
I first got interested in photography in high school when my dad would come to my swim meets and cross country meets and bring his camera to take photos of me. When I wasn't racing, I would use his camera to photograph my friends and teammates and quickly realized I loved being behind the camera. Eventually I received my own camera as a Christmas present and I continued to photograph for fun in college for my sorority and swim club. As I got trained in videography during my time with the Indiana University Football team, my skills translated to photography and soon I felt more confident behind the camera. After graduating, I practiced more and more with friends and family, and a few years later I decided I wanted to pursue it more seriously... so I created K.Ley Productions. Since then I have continued to learn more about photography and have gained experience in families, couples, engagements, weddings, newborns, heirloom composites, seniors, businesses, events, real estate and more! Each year I push myself to become an even better photographer, and have continued to invest more time into my skills, experience and equipment to give my clients quality photos that they will cherish for life.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have! I have a variety of photography packages that can be tailored to fit your needs and budget. I find great joy in photography and I promise to provide a fun and comfortable environment during your session. Please note that all photography clients are required to sign a contract and pay a non-refundable retainer to book and secure a session. If your photography session or event will occur outside of New Hanover County (YES! I am willing to travel almost anywhere!), a travel fee based on mileage and/or other forms of travel, as well as accommodations, will be added to the cost of your package and will be discussed when booking.
